Sick Leave

It has been brought to my attention that sickness is inexcusable. Illness will not be tolerated in The Machine. Sickness is only temporary, your service to The Machine is everlasting.

I was under the impression that my slavery ended after business hours, and that the benefits awarded to me by my yoke of service would at least be honored. Now I realize that all that is transient. If The Machine needs me, my sick days are invalid. My vacation time, hard earned and banked, is at the whim of the puppet masters.

Can they legislate illness? Apparently so. They can decide what germs and fevers we can fall prey to, and how long they can remain in our systems. And The Machine chooses to use this power for its own unholy gain.

The Machine doesn’t care about your germs. You are the germs of The Machine.
